About MetroplexWeb

MetroplexWeb is an indie game studio based in the Dallas-Fort Worth metroplex, creating games that blend music, art, and ancient cultural themes.

Our Games

We focus on rhythm-based gameplay and visually distinctive experiences. Our flagship title, Echoes of Egypt, brings ancient temple carvings to life through music-reactive shaders.

About the Founder

Mike Randrup is a Dallas-based developer with 33+ years of often hard-fought innovations, wins, and losses, starting on an Amiga 1200 at age 13. His background spans computer graphics, web development, music technology, and game design — with coursework in computer science at age 14-16 (California State University, Fresno 1994-1996) and music in 2025 (Berklee College of Music studies in interactive scoring and drum programming). Most of those years were spent running agencies providing web design and custom web application development, serving small businesses in Dallas and central California and winning many awards along the way. He eventually pivoted to learn the ways of enterprise software at a successful public company and other places, and has since returned to his own endeavors to finish a stubborn multi-year dream game development project. He considers himself glad to have maintained his marriage for 25+ years and his sanity through all of it.
